Who we are

People’s World is a voice for progressive change and socialism in the United States. It provides news and analysis of, by, and for the labor and democratic movements to our readers across the country and around the world. With a small but dedicated staff, freelance contributors, and a nationwide network of volunteer writers, People’s World presents insights into local, national, and international struggles from the perspectives of those who are experiencing them. It’s an angle you won’t find in the corporate press.

We are a local Fort Wayne affiliate of the People’s World newspaper. We are a small collective of volunteer writers based in and around northeast Indiana to bring coverage of local struggles and highlight local activists and organizers. Our material spans a wide range of topics from cultural material, local news, and op-eds.

We aim to publish both a print and online edition of our paper. Our papers are printed by our own writers locally, or printed by our Michigan affiliate using a union-print shop.

Print editions are currently published quarterly. Q1 2026 has already been completed with Q2 2026 on the way. We are exploring a subscription service to mail our physical copies.

People’s World is the official paper of the Communist Party of the United States of America. You do not need to be a member of the Party to write for us, and not everything we publish represents the official views of the Party.
